Hospice with Haven
At Haven, our team deeply cares about each of our patients and their families. Alongside personalized care for the patient, we also offer support services and counseling to the patient’s family as well. Our bereavement services last for 13 months so that we can help with every “first” after a loved one’s passing. Hospice is a time of transition and we want to be there to support you every step of the way.
Interested in volunteering with our hospice team? At Haven, our volunteers work with a clinical team of a doctor, nurse, aide, chaplain, and social worker. We have a variety of volunteer roles available.
“When we were told at the hospital that my dad would-be coming home on hospice, my family and I were crushed. I couldn’t imagine my life without my dad. But with the help from Kim, and all the staff at Haven we had all the comfort and help we could ask for, and then some.
Kim was always there, for any questions, help or just to talk and cry to. The entire staff was so professional yet SO caring. The morning my dad passed, Kim immediately came over and did what she needed and got my dad looking nice and presentable for us to say our goodbyes. She stood by in support and was willing to do whatever we needed. Then seeing her sweet face at my dad’s visitation and funeral gave me such comfort and support to know she was there for all of us.
I HIGHLY recommend Haven for your hospice care needs. They definitely go above and beyond Words can’t express how thankful we are for your team.”Jannie R
Our Caregiving Services
Some of our hospice patients and their families have additional caregiving services through our home care branch. Typically, these home care services are provided by a non-medical caregiver who can help with things like housework, errands, personal care, and even companionship. While Medicare doesn’t typically cover home care, Medicaid does cover many services, and they may also be covered by the patient’s insurance.
